5 Yummy Yogurt Recipes (Protein-Packed!)
1. Berry Date Yogurt
Though it’s often convenient to pick up flavored yogurt at the supermarket, a lot of times they have higher amounts of added sugar, artifical colors and flavors. This Berry Date Yogurt is just as delicious (or even more), but it’s all natural and packed with extra vitamins and fiber!! It’s also easily customizable with your choice of berries.
Besides being delicious on it’s own or in a reusable pouch, this yogurt can also be served as a dip for fruit (a super fun way to add protein to a snack plate). This way your little one will get extra nutrition and keep their tummy full for longer.
2. Strawberry Yogurt Melts
Made with just 2 ingredients these make for a fun and easy snack and one of the more popular yogurt recipes in our app. For babies it can offer good practice of their pincer grasp and for toddlers and children it can be a fun finger-food.
These can also be frozen in popsicle molds for delicious and healthy popsicles!
3. Yogurt Waffles
These are seriously the best!! they are just as rich and delicious as waffles made with butter, but since they’re made with full-fat yogurt they also have added protein to support growing bodies and keep tummies full for longer!
This recipe also uses oat flour which has some extra nutrients and fiber and can be helpful for people with gluten sensitivities, who knew that waffles could be so healthy?!
And you can be sure the whole family will love these!
4. Banana Yogurt Mini Muffins
These have no added sugar, and honestly, you don’t even notice! The ripe banana gives them just the right amount of sweetness and the yogurt makes them moist, delicious and protein-rich.
When you make these you can definitely make a double batch and stash them in the freezer (if you have any leftovers, that is). These defrost well and make for convenient breakfasts, snacks and lunchboxes!
5. Frozen Yogurt Bark
This is another fun way to switch up yogurt by combining lots of nutrients at once!
This bark is very customizable, the base is Greek yogurt and ripe banana, then you can add a variety of different toppings to it.
- For more protein and healthy fats: add nut butters, crushed nuts, chia seeds or hemp hearts…
- For more vitamins and fiber add berries, chopped fruit, no-added-sugar jam, granola…
- For different colors: puree berries and mix them in with the yogurt and banana
